The Foundation (Nail) Course

With a qualification in each of the OPI enhancement systems, this course provides the ultimate skills to offer the complete range of nail technician services to your clients.

You will learn:

• Structure of the nail and Physiology & Anatomy of the hand & arm
• Full client consultation
• Salon hygiene, COSSH and sanitation
• Contraindications – diseases and disorders
• Nail plate preparation
• Tip application and blending
• OPI acrylic pink & white overlay and sculpting
• Application of the Axxium Soak Off Gel Lacquer System
• An introduction to the OPI gel systems
• Infill and re-balancing techniques
• The safe removal of enhancements
• Lacquer application and finishing
• Full OPI product knowledge
• Industry background information
• Business hints and tips
• Retailing and link-selling skills
• Tip application and blending
• OPI acrylic pink & white overlay and sculpting
• OPI Axxium Gel tip and overlay system and pink & white sculpting

You will need:

• To compile a portfolio of written and photographic evidence of treatments
• To complete a written exam and practical assessment in OPI acrylic and Axxium systems

Duration:

• 7 day course over an 8 week period
• 10.00am – 4.30pm daily
