Studying French at AS and A2 will develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. You will gain confidence in communicating in the target language, and learn more about France and other French speaking countries.
Alternative transport in France - loving the environment!
What will I study on this course?
The course covers a wide variety of current issues over the two years. As well as revising and extending topics studied at GCSE, you will learn about media and technology, education and work, politics and history, and other social themes including health, immigration, racism and environment. Grammar and skills teaching is integrated into the topic areas.
How is this course assessed?
By external examinations in May or June of each year. There is a written examination (incorporating listening, reading and writing) and an oral examination.
What kind of student will do well on this course?
If you enjoy communicating with others through speaking and writing, and have an enquiring mind, this course is for you. If you are thinking of travelling, taking a gap year or working abroad, French could open doors for you.
