What you'll learn on the course
This is a 12 week course.
This first course is an introduction to the language and is aimed at those with no previous knowledge of French or very little.
Attendance will be once a week for two hours with 24hours of tuition in total.
By the end of the course, you will be able to get by in situations such as:
- Exchanging personal information
- Asking for prices and understanding the response.
- Asking and understanding simple directions.
The course does not lead to an external qualification. You will, however, receive a Thanet College Certificate on completion of the course.
There are no exams, but the teacher may assess learning by the means of tests during the course.
Self'study is necessary to progress. It should not take you more than one or two hours between each lesson at the College.
Cost / Equipment
Students may be advised by their tutor to buy a coursebook, in which case the cost is in addition to the tuition fee, and is usually about£15.
