French at advanced level develops the skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing acquired at GCSE. The AS course comprises the study of three topic areas with specific reference to France and other French speaking countries.

- Problems of young people, drugs, AIDS. Continuation to A Level in the second year involves the study of three further topics.

In addition, at Crosskeys, students will study two literacy texts, to be assessed by coursework and examination. A wide range of up to date language learning facilities is used, including a language laboratory and satellite TV.
