Description
The course is designed as a language "survival kit" which will help people get more enjoyment from their holiday, or act as preparation for further study.

After completing this course you should be able to:
· Understand the basic construction of the language
· Greet people
· Make requests
· Buy things
· Read basic signs
· Understand basic responses spoken in the native language

· Talking about yourself and others
· Ordering food and drinks
· Getting somewhere to stay
· Directions
· Time
· Shopping
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
Informal, role-plays, question and answers.
Progression
After completing a beginners language course you may want to consider either continuing on a termly basis at beginners level or progressing to a GCSE course in your chosen language.
