You will be following the Edexcel Syllabus and you will be examined on all four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. It is a structured course with prescribed topics and grammar. During the months preceding the exam in June, you will be sitting mock examinations which will enable.

You are not an Institute student and you have successfully completed the GCSE in another educational establishment, you are required to provide either your GCSE Certificate or a statement of results before enrolling. Alternatively, if you have not completed a GCSE in the last four years, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIT AN ENTRY TEST BEFORE YOU CAN ENROL ON THE COURSE.

Course Description:

This course is for those students who have a language knowledge equivalent to approximately 4 years.
You will be following the Edexcel Syllabus and you will be examined on all four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. It is a structured course with prescribed topics and grammar.
During the months preceding the exam in June, you will be sitting mock examinations which will enable you to assess your own progress and the teacher to estimate the grade.
At the end of the course, you should be able to read, write, understand and speak the language in the following topics areas: youth culture and concerns, lifestyle; health and fitness; the world around us; education and employment.
The exam will take place in June and you will be asked to be registered in January/February.

On completion of this course, you should be able to progress to: A2 Level Advanced Conversation
