This single honours course is based on the same principles as single honours French, but allow you to include a substantial proportion of study in Psychology. French is the major subject which counts for two thirds of your degree, and Psychology is the minor subject which counts for the remaining third.

About this course
The course aims to enable understudies to: Develop translation and reading comprehension skills through the study of texts that vary in style and register.
Use new vocabulary effectively and confidently in written work.
Demonstrate an understanding of key grammatical structures; use more complex grammatical constructions in set grammar exercises and essay writing.
Write accurate and idiomatic French.
Studying Modern Languages opens the door to a wide variety of careers. Many Bangor Modern Languages graduates have, of course, gone into teaching and translating, but just as many have embarked upon successful careers in the civil service, business and commerce, industry and the media. The skills you learn whilst studying languages – cultural awareness, communication, accuracy, planning and logical analysis – are valued highly by employers from all sectors of the economy.
