Introduction
The AS level in Business Studies is taken over 1 year full-time and followed by a further year if students wish to complete the full A level.

Description
This course follows the AQA syllabus. The main elements of the programme are marketing, accounting & finance, management, people, external influences and objectives & strategy. Students develop an in-depth understanding of the varied aspects of the business world and acquire a range of skills including decision making and problem solving.

Method of Study
A wide range of teaching materials and strategies are used to stimulate students and allow them to learn at their own pace. There are three end-of-year assessments.

Progression
Business studies offers an excellent basis for taking university courses such as business, accountancy, finance and management or direct entry into the employment market.
