Description of the Course
The Association of Accounting Technicians is the professional organisation for accounting technicians. It provides a recognised qualificaton and a member body for accounting support staff working in accounting practice, industry and commerce and the public sector.

· Preparing ledger balances & an initail trial balance (exam)
· Recording income and receipts
· Making and recording payments
· Supplying information for management control
· Working with computers

Assessment

· 1 External examination.
· 7 Skills based assessments.
· A portfolio of work related evidence.

Who is the course for?
Learners with sound numerical skills who are interested in careers in accounting.

Entry requirements
You should have at least 3 GCSE's at grade D or above including Maths and English, or you will have successfully completed a level 1 programme. You may also be asked to demonstrate your commitment and skills in an interview.

What can I do after this course?
AAT Intermediate or other level 3 courses in business related fields.
