This full-time vocational course enables you to gain a nationally recognised qualification in accounting at NVQ Level 4. Classes take place 3 days per week, 9.15am to 2.45pm. Modules include: managing performance and enhancing value, planning and controlling resources, managing systems and people in the accounting environment, drafting financial statements, cash management and credit control.

About this course

Completion of the AAT Intermediate Level, or NVQ Level 3 in Accounting. Exceptionally, students with several years†experience of working in accounting at a high level may be able to make direct entry. The course leader will discuss this with you in the entry interview. There will be expenses for materials. Students who are aged 19 or over will also need to pay tuition fees.

Course description
This full-time vocational course enables you to gain a nationally recognised qualification in accounting at NVQ Level 4. Classes take place 3 days per week, 9.15am to 2.45pm. Modules include: managing performance and enhancing value, planning and controlling resources, managing systems and people in the accounting environment, drafting financial statements, cash management and credit control, business tax and personal tax.

Final award
Assessment takes place throughout the year. Some units require the compilation of work based evidence or college assessed simulations, others require students to sit exams set and marked by the AAT. Exams are taken in December and June. On successful completion of the course an NVQ4 Accounting certificate will be awarded by the AAT and students with appropriate work experience will be able to become members of the AAT. More detailed information on assessment can be obtained from the tutor.
