This course is for you if:
You have at least 2 GCSE's, grades A-D, or equivalent (including English) and are interested in gaining employment as a flight attendant for an international airline.

This is a full time 16 week course and you will work towards the EAL Intermediate Certificate in Air Cabin Crewing. You will study a range of subjects directly related to the field of airline operations, including:

Fee Information: The College charges a range of fees, primarily Home and Overseas. Under 19s assessed as Home, do not pay the course fees, we only charge a 20 enrolment fee which is refunded if you complete the course. Home students over 19 undertaking their First Full Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSE A-C) or their First Full Level 3 (equivalent to BTEC National or 2 ALevels) will be charged 20 enrolment fee plus any examination fees. For Home students over 19 receiving certain state benefits, the 20 enrolment is charged and not refundable. In all other instances, you will be charged the Home-EU or Overseas Fee.

Applicants will be required to attend college interview and MAY need to complete assessment test

About the course:
Actual Airline resources such as oxygen masks, seatbelts, PA Systems are available for practical assessments in our replica aircraft cabin. The course also includes visits to British Airways and BMI training centres.
All students enrolled on the course will have the opportunity to learn basic conversational Chinese (exclusive to the College). It is our hope that this language skill will provide our students with an advantage during their application process for cabin crew positions.

There are additional resource costs associated with this course which include approximately £100 uniform cost as well as costs for trips and visits.

After the course:
You will be in a strong position to gain employment as cabin crew and many of our past students are now working as cabin crew for a variety of airlines.

If you would like to gain a really good insight into the travel and tourism industry, including fares and ticketing, worldwide travel geography and travel agency operations, before joining an airline, you could join our Airline and Travel Agency Certificates course, which begins in September and January.

If you are looking for a more general look at the industry to support your skills and give you the chance to progress onto higher education, you could consider the BTEC 1st Diploma or Advanced Level qualifications in Travel, Leisure and Tourism.
