Content
Key Skills and Tutorials. Students will study the following units:
· Work Related Experience in Animal Care
· Animal Care industry & Organisations
· Animal Accommodation Handling and Care
· Introduction to Animal and Plant Biology
· Animal Health Welfare & Behaviour
· Care of Exotic Animals
Progression Students could progress to a Level 3 Animal Management (Award/Certificate) course with a merit grade and Key Skills qualification in Literacy at Level 2 or above or Level 3 Animal Management (Diploma) course with a distinction. This must include a merit for introduction to Biology Unit. Additionally they should have a proven 85% attendance record and exemplary punctuality record and have met all assessment deadlines. Students can also progress to work in the land-based industry or work-based training programme
