Course Content
If you enjoy Art and Design in all shapes and forms, from 2D to 3D, then take a look at our First Diploma course.
At Level 2, you can explore visual language, get arty, get messy, draw, paint, design, photograph, use clay, plaster, print on textiles and a range of different papers and materials, use wire, stone, develop graphic skills and just enjoy it all!
This course offers a sound introduction to a range of practical disciplines within art and design such as ceramics, drawing and painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and textiles. Study units include:

• Visual Communication and its Role in the Creative Industries;
• Material Techniques and Processes in Art and Design Disciplines;
• Exploring and Completing an In-depth Personal Project;
• Presenting Work to a Public Audience.

Assessment
You will be assessed on six assignments during the year. You will also receive help with Key Skills in areas including communication, IT and application of number.
A personal tutor will help with any issues you may have at college.
