• The World at Risk â€" this includes looking at hazards around the world, and global warming.
• Going Global â€" focusing on globalization and the global economy, alongside population and migration.
There is also a fieldwork exam based on the topics of Crowded Coasts and Rebranding Places. Your answers will be based on fieldwork data that you will collect during fieldtrips. This is worth 40%.
A2 Geography is about the contested planet. This includes issues of energy security, water conflicts, biodiversity, superpowers, development and technology. These units are assessed by a written exam (60%).
The second unit at A2 gives you the opportunity to do your own research, which is assessed by an essay written under exam conditions (40%).

A levels are divided into two courses, AS taken in the first year and A2 in the second year; combined together they equal a full A level. Both the AS and A2 courses comprise 2 units. On the whole, A levels are assessed through formal examinations at the end of the AS programme and then again at the end of the A2 programme. In some practically based subjects there is a coursework component. Both AS and A2 qualifications count towards the requirements for university entrance.
*Students aged 16-18 will not be required to pay the full course fee, in most cases your fee will not exceed £150. Please contact us if you need more information regarding fees for full-time courses.
