'War is the locomotive of change', wrote Trotsky, and on this course we demonstrate how accurate his words were.

What will I study?
Students will study the collapse of the European empires in to the First World War and how the unresolved issues led to the rise of the Nazis and Communist Russia.
This is an exciting course and one which maps the colossal changes in the world order from 1900 to 1950.

What next?
Many students continue with their studies in History at Degree Level. Other options include combining History with other Humanities and Social Science subjects including Journalism and Teacher Training.
