Course content:
This course is suited to all learners who already hold a certificate in level 2 beauty.
A course for those interested in pursuing a supervisory career in the beauty industry. This covers advanced aspects of beauty treatments including: health and safety, promotion of products or service, depilation, massage therapy & electrical treatments to the face and body. We encourage all of our level 3 students to have a minimum of 2 days work a week in a salon.
On receipt of an application an interview will be arranged and held along with an aptitude and a dexterity test to assess your suitability to the course we are offering.

Course Structure:
This course will provide students with essential knowledge, techniques, skills and understanding of how to perform beauty tasks. Subject delivery · Input of essential knowledge- Group and Individual Tutorial and Portfolio building, Skills related workshops, Commercial salon. Mandatory work-experience. You will be required to attending external exhibitions, enter relevant in-house shows, external beauty competitions and extra curriculum enrichment activities. You will be required to attend one late evening per week.

Course resources:
Excellent salon training environment; the latest products in the market are used at the college. All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Assessment:
Continuous assessments by observation on paying clients for practical skills and formal and informal on-line tests, there may be some written assignments and tests. Portfolio of evidence

Fees Info
The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
Beauty Kit - £150, City & Guild Log-book, www- site access; External trips.
