Course Description:
This course is suitable if you want to work as a qualified therapist or have achieved Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2 and want to extend your range of skills and career opportunities.
Course Content:
This course covers:
· aromatherapy massage
· body massage
· electrical and mechanical treatments for the face and body
· epilation
· health and safety
· salon management
· additional qualifications in Key Skills.
You will also study additional qualifications in UV tanning, sauna and steam.
Assessment:
Continuous practical, oral and written assessment throughout the course, leading to the production of a portfolio to demonstrate competence.
Next Steps:
Employment as a therapist in a salon, health farm, a company representative or work on cruise liners. You may also wish to take further study, part-time, in Advanced Body Massage, Reflexology or Aromatherapy or to broaden your skills with a further full-time course, such as Holistic Therapies or the Diploma in Theatrical and Media Make-up.
