Course Description
This course covers basic beauty therapy treatments including facials, eye treatments, waxing, manicure and pedicure together with reception and customer service skills.

The course is assessed continually throughout the year with the production of a portfolio. You are only registered for Level 2 Beauty Therapy in the first year and will only be registered on the Level 3 qualification in the second year of the course if you keep up-to-date with all Level 2 work. If you have difficulty in coping with the workload at Level 2 you will be registered on the Level 1 Beauty Therapy Qualification. You will be expected to pay for uniform and equipment.

Work Experience
You will be expected to complete a work placement and must provide details of your chosen placement at the start of your course. We have very good links with local businesses who are happy to take our students on work experience.

Assessment
Continual assessment takes place throughout the year of both written and practical work. Students will produce a portfolio of evidence which will include exams, assignments, packages and evidence practical work

Trips and Enrichment Activities
You will benefit from our excellent industry links including Yorkshire College of Beauty Therapy, who run Craven College courses. Steiner visits the college on a biannual basis to give talks about Cruise Ships. We have a variety of companies who will train you in current methods within the Beauty industry for example St Tropez Tanning, Fake Bake, Tooth Fairy, Dermalogica Skin Care and Ear Piercing.
