Beauty Therapy NVQ (Level 2)
Course Content
This one-year course is about learning basic beauty therapy to provide treatments for clients.
The units of study include:

• Improve Facial Skin Conditions;
• Remove Hair using Temporary Methods;
• Improve the Appearance and Condition of the Nails and Adjacent Skin;
• Enhance the Appearance of the Eyebrows and Lashes;
• Customer Care and Promoting Additional Products or Services to Clients;
• Provide Make-up Treatments;
• Anatomy and Physiology;
• Health and Safety and Key Skills.

Students will also achieve NVQ Level 2 Customer Service and some Level 1 and Level 2 Key Skills units.
Teaching/Assessment
The course covers a range of units along with written assignments. A variety of practical assessments will be carried out. A portfolio of evidence will also be produced.
Progression
Upon successful completion, you can apply to progress onto NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or Holistic Therapies.
Emplyment opportunities can include health spas, salons, cruise liners, cosmetic consultants, working abroad or in the leisure industry (hotels).
Additional Information
Students will be required to purchase their own kit/equipment.
