About this course
You will need five GCSEs at grade C or above including maths. In addition, entry to this subject requires a grade B in one of the following; GCSE Double Science, GCSE Biology or GCSE Maths.

Introduction
Biology is the fastest developing science at the present time with numerous applications including entry into Health Service careers.

Method of Study
The course will be delivered through lectures, practicals and class discussions. There is also directed private study. The course follows the AQA Specification A syllabus.
Progression
Students may progress to A2 Biology and take the full A level or they may use the subject along with others to seek employment or enter higher education.
