Course Description:
To equip students with knowledge and understanding required in the world of business, including working in a retail environment.

Content: Students will study 3 core units :

• Exploring Business Purposes
• Developing Customer Relations
• Personal Selling

and 3 specialist units :

• Business Communication
• Investigating Financial Control
• Business Online

Students will also study Functional Skills in Mathematics, English and ICT

Assessment and Progression:
The programme units will be internally assessed via coursework which will include: assignments, role-play, performance observations and time-constrained assessments. Functional Skills are assessed under exam conditions.

On successful completion of the programme, students may be eligible for a place on the BTEC National Award in Business

This is a full-time course for the duration of one year.
