BTEC Diploma in Interactive Media - Interactive Media Level 1Duration
One Year full time

Attendance
You are expected to be available to attend college Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm and Friday 9am to 4.30pm. Your timetable will be 16 hours per week and will be explained to you at interview.

Course Description
This one year course is designed to give you an introduction into the interactive media sector and includes, Web authoring, Video editing, and digital graphics.

Course Structure
The course is delivered through a series of assignments that explore the interrelation of web graphics and animation alongside video work.

You will also study Key Skills which include Maths and English.

Course Assessment
All the subjects taught on the course culminate in a final assessment to ensure that competency is reached in that subject area. Regular tutorials will help develop your skills towards level 2 study.

  • 2 GCSEs grades G and above

Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old on 31 August 2010. However, you may have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your interview.

Course Enrichment
Activities such as trips and visits will be arranged, which are beneficial to this course and your learning. These activities are optional and additional fees will be charged to you. Details will be provided at the time of interview.

Course Progression
Students can progress onto our level 2 Programmes in Media, IT or Interactive Media.
