WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
This course is run in conjunction with South Leicestershire College and Studio 79, Churchgate, Leicester.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?
Core Units:

Jazz Dance
Performing Dance
The Performing Arts Business
Performing Arts Production Business
Contemporary Dance

Plus specialist units.

WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
You will need to attend classes for approximately 16 hours per week and have a high level of motivation and commitment. In addition extra time will be spent on rehearsals, shows and productions.

WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
The qualification is BTEC First Diploma in Dance.
You will also complete a programme of Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT. These Functional Skills are an essential requirement for employment progression, higher education and other further education courses.
You will gain experience in performing at venues in Leicester and London.

WHAT WILL IT COST ME?
1b153-09 Course fees 0 16-18 year olds, 453(19) 19 years and over

WHAT ADDITIONAL COSTS ARE THERE?
Kit List: (approximately 60.00 in total)

1: Leggings (preferably 3/4 length)
2: Tap Shoes
3: Ballet Shoes
4: Jazz Shoes
5: Black Leotard
6: ballet Tights

For every lesson you will need to be dressed appropriately, including:

Hair tied back
Wearing black clothing
No jewellery

WHAT CAN I DO AFTERWARDS?
There may be an opportunity to progress on to the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts course.
