Fee Information: The College charges a range of fees, primarily Home and Overseas. Under 19s assessed as Home, do not pay the course fees, we only charge a 20 enrolment fee which is refunded if you complete the course. Home students over 19 undertaking their First Full Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSE A-C) or their First Full Level 3 (equivalent to BTEC National or 2 ALevels) will be charged 20 enrolment fee plus any examination fees. For Home students over 19 receiving certain state benefits, the 20 enrolment is charged and not refundable. In all other instances, you will be charged the Home-EU or Overseas Fee.

About the course:
This course is for you if you have an interest in science and would like to develop a career in Laboratory and Industrial Science. This two year course is made up of 18 units, which cover a wide range of applied scientific topics and their application in variety of vocational settings such as engineering, pharmaceutical industry, health related industries, etc... Some of the units covered include: Fundamentals of Science, Scientific Practical Techniques, Working in the Science Industry, Mathematics for Science Technicians, Informatics, Physiology of Human Body Systems, Microbiological Techniques, Medical Physics Techniques, Electrical Circuits and their Industrial Applications, Industrial Applications of Organic Chemistry, Genetics and Genetic Engineering.

After the course:
As a level three programme of studies, the course is equivalent to three A Levels. It prepares you either to progress on to a degree course at university level or to work in Science based laboratory.
