• 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, to include an Art/ Design related subject plus Maths and English/ Welsh
• 5 GCSEs to include an Art/ Design related subject plus Maths or English/ Welsh
• Intermediate GNVQ in a related subject
• BTEC First Diploma in a related subject at Merit grade or above
• All learners also need to present a satisfactory portfolio of practical work to be presented at the interview

Course Description
The National Diploma in Art & Design is a general art and design course which allows learners to gain experience and skills in a wide range of specialisms, such as Fine Art, 3D Design, Graphic Design, Textiles and Contextual Studies. It is a Level 3 course which is equivalent to 3 A Levels. It consists of 5 core units plus 12 or more specialist units.
