Applicants will have a met one of the following entry requirements and attended a successful interview with a portfolio of Art and Design work and a satisfactory references providing information on behaviour, punctuality and attendance:

A portfolio of Art and Design work
4 GCSEs at grades A* - C; or
GNVQ Intermediate in Art and Design; or
BTEC First Certificate/Diploma in a related subject; or
Other recognised UK/Overseas related FE Level 2 awards.
PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
This is a broad-based Fashion and Clothing course consisting of 18 units. This course is for those students wanting to develop the necessary skills for a career in the fashion industries.

The course is structured around a series of thematic terms that enable students to experience, through project work, the broad-range of disciplines that are involved in the design, production and marketing of fashion garments. Progression to the second year of this course is dependant upon successful completion of the year one units.

In the second year students will have the opportunity to design and produce a collection of outfits that reflect their personal interest and future progression routes. They may then progress onto a Foundation Degree or Degree level course in fashion or a related subject at Croydon Higher Education College or other institutions. Alternatively, students may seek a junior position in the fashion/clothing industry.
