Attendance
You are expected to be available to attend college Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm and Friday 9am to 4.30pm. Your timetable will be 16 hours per week and will be explained to you at interview.
Course Description
This two year course is designed to give you an introduction into Film & Television Industries.
Course Structure
The course is delivered through a series of assignments that explore scripting, recording and editing your own videos for a variety of purposes - drama, documentary and public information.
You will also study Key Skills which include Maths and English.
Course Assessment
Assessment takes place throughout the year with regular tutorials that help you progress your media skills. Throughout your course you will devise and produce pieces of film which will be integrated with the theoretical and technical aspects of the programme.

Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old on 31 August 2010. However, you may have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your interview.
Course Enrichment
Activities such as trips and visits will be arranged, which are beneficial to this course and your learning. These activities are optional and additional fees will be charged to you. Details will be provided at the time of interview.
Course Progression
Students can progress to Higher Education courses such as degrees or foundation degrees in Film & TV.
Course Career Prospects
- There are some opportunities in the media sector at junior levels but further study would be recommended to achieve employment in many job roles including production assistant, director, camera operator, presenter, and runner.
