Course description
This course is based in the purpose-built theatre with access to industry standard theatre lighting and sound. It is the equivalent to three A Levels. Due to its entirely practical delivery, you will experience all aspects of theatre production and performance.
You will:
• Develop performing arts skills in the areas of drama, dance, music and stagecraft
• Study theatre production and arts administration
• Take part in and organise various termly performances
• Undertake work experience and have the chance to participate in industry and overseas trips.
Students also complete the BTEC First Certificate in Production to give them an overview of all aspects of theatre.

Final award
Edexcel (BTEC) National Diploma in Performing Arts (Performance).

Entry requirements
You must be able to satisfy ONE of the following requirements in addition to a successful interview and audition:
• Hold four GSCEs at grade C or above
Or
• Hold a relevant Intermediate GNVQ or First Diploma at merit level or above
Or
• Be over 19 years of age and be able to demonstrate that by virtue of other studies and/or experience, you are capable of benefiting from completing the course.

*Students aged 16-18 will not be required to pay the full course fee, in most cases your fee will not exceed £150. Please contact us if you need more information regarding fees for full-time courses.
