Content This course will prepare you for a career in Sports Coaching, PE Teaching, The Fitness Industry and the Sports Industry (including Sports Nutrition, Sports Psychology and Sports Development). A range of units include: Health and Safety in Sport, Body in Action, Nutrition in Sport, Training and Fitness, Psychology for Sports, Fitness Testing, Sports Injuries, Skill Learning for Performance and Analysis of Sports Performance.

Assessment Units are assessed throughout the year through assignments, coursework and observation of practical coaching.

Other Information In addition to the full time programme of study, students will also be able to study the Community Sports Leader Award and may be able to opt for the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, the CYQ Gym Instructors Sports Coaching qualifications or the "Sports Academy".
