What will I study?
This course gives an introduction to the world of business. You will learn skills that will be useful, should you ever want to set up your own business or move on to find a job. Extensive use of the computer will be required throughout with all assignment typed. You will also get a chance to experiment by setting up your own business. When youve completed the course you can go on to study a level 3 qualification (vocational/practical A level) or try for jobs. The qualification is equivalent to four G.C.S.E.s.
You will also study additional short courses such as Young Enterprise, Work experience, Level 1 Key Skills in Communication and Level 1 Key Skills Working with others.
The course can be studied through the medium of English or Welsh.

Will I have to sit any examinations?
No. Not in the main course or the short courses; except for the Young Enterprise, where one of the exams is marked internally and the other externally.

What will I have at the end of the course?
After successful completing the course you will gain the equivalent to 4 GCSEs. During the year you will also complete short courses such as Young Enterprise, Work experience etc which employers look upon favourably when trying for jobs.

What next?
Successful completion of this course may allow you to follow a Level 3 course in a vocational subject of your choice. Or you could gain employment within the business world.
