Business Finance (Accounts) BTEC National Award
The National Award Business Finance (Accounts) is a specialist work related qualification that provides specialist knowledge for those anticipating a career in Accounting, Enterprise or providing financial advice. During the course you will look a range of topics such as how to investigate business financial performance by constructing profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and using ratio analysis to measure success.

What will I study?
You will study three units in the first year and three units in the second year.

You will study core units of:-
  • Financial Services for Individuals
  • Business Financial Performance
  • Finance Services to support Business
  • Financial Services Regulation Ethics and Trends

You will also study two optional units from the following:
  • Exploring Business Activity
  • Globalisation and Financial Services
  • Computer Applications for Financial Management


How will I be assessed?
Assessment is carried out by a series of assignments which are marked by your teachers and verified by the exam board.

What can I do next?
A variety of options are available to you following study of National Award Business Finance (Accounts).You can advance onto a degree course at University either in Accounting, Finance or a related subject. Alternatively, the transferable skills gained throughout the course can make you very employable in a number of different business areas.
