· Course Overview: · This is a one year programme designed for people would like to work in a supporting role in private day nurseries, education, health authorities, social services and in private homes with young children under the age of 8. They will also spend two days a week on work placement.

Entry Requirements: · An intermediate course suitable for those who have at least 4 GCSEs at grades D or above including English Language or a relevant/equivalent Level 1 qualification plus key skills Communications level 1. This could be a BTEC Introductory Diploma, a City and Guilds qualification, Cache Foundation Award in Caring for Children or relevant work experience. Applications from students with no formal qualifications but relevant life experience will be considered. All students must have a Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Disclosure and supply two satisfactory references. Interview with specialist tutor where details will be given.
