ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants having just left school will normally be expected to have achieved GCSE grades E-G. All applicants will however be invited to attend an interview, where they will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their potential to achieve the requirements of the course and provide information regarding their study skills. School leavers will be required to provide a recent school report. Mature students will require a reference. All prospective applicants will be required to undertake an aptitude test before any final offer is made.
PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
This course is ideal for those students who need to build on their basic skills and learn more about Motor Vehicle Technology before going onto study a BTEC First Diploma in Vehicle Services and Technology or possible employment in the automotive sector. This qualification consists of 6 units for the Certificate and 12 units for the Diploma.

In addition to studying Key Skills the subjects covered will include:

Motor Vehicle Technology Units;
Engineering Equipment and materials; and
Health and Safety.

This one-year course will run subject to demand.
