Course Description:
If you would like to understand the theoretical and practical aspects of electrical installations and regulations, then this course will provide you with a good knowledge base on which to build a career.
Course Content:
You will need to complete the following mandatory units:
· Working Effectively and Safely in the Electrotechnical Environment
· Principles of Electrotechnology
· Application of Health and Safety
· Electrical Principles
· Buildings & Structures Installation.
Key Skills in the following subjects will also be studied: Application of Number and Communication at Level 2, IT at Level 1.
Assessment:
The award is run and assessed at the College, where candidates are required to undertake four awarding body on-line tests, additionally one theory assignment and one practical assessment will be completed to gain the Certificate.
Next Steps:
On successful completion, you should seek employment with electrical contractors involved in domestic, commercial and industrial installations in order to complete an Advanced Apprenticeship at Level 3.
