Course description
The award is designed to provide you with the knowledge and understanding for the VRQ (Vocationally Related Qualification) and NVQ (National Vocational qualification)
Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle Technicians) Level 1, including additional Key Skills and underpinning knowledge. The course is a valuable alternative for those of you who do not have access to employment and an NVQ.
You are required to complete units to achieve the award relating to health and safety, working relationships, removal, inspection and refitting of vechicle components.

Final award
City and Guilds 4101 VRQ Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Entry requirements
GCSEs at grade E in English, Maths and Science.
All students will need literacy and numeracy skills i.e. the ability to read and interpret written tasks and to write answers in a legible form. An interview is required and candidates
will need to prove the ability to cope with the demands of the course and commitment to achieve.
