Attendance
You are expected to be available to attend college Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm and some evenings.

Course Description
You will cover a range of different areas, supervising staff, organising and supervising an event, bar control including stock taking and ordering and controlling the payment point.

Course Structure
5 core units and 3 optional units covered, including Key or Basic Skills

Course Assessment
Complete 8 units and knowledge questions. Research is expected on your speciality themed event, tasks to complete and assessment is through observations.

Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old on 31 August 2010. However, you may have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your interview.

Activities such as trips and visits will be arranged, which are beneficial to this course and your learning. These activities are optional and additional fees will be charged to you. Details will be provided at the time of interview.

Course Progression
Progression on completion of the course may include a higher level course such as an HND or Degree.

This qualification will provide opportunities to gain work in a supervisory role such as assistant manager within a wide range of areas in the Hospitality Industry.
