Method of assessment:
6 units of knowledge support each specialist pathway. These are each assessed by multi-choice question papers. Your skill is assessed by ability to complete an extensive practical task. The overall qualification has an online multichoice exam.
Progression opportunities and careers:
Entry into employment and one day per week on a part time Level 2 Diploma programme, supported by CITB. Return to college full time for the Level 2 Diploma extending your skills and knowledge before entering employment.

GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade D or above or having shown ability in an initial assessment, to deal with the academic side of the course.
Additional qualifications studied:
Health and Safety CSCS card examination to enable you to participate in work experience. Key skills in Communication, Application of Number, IC T are in support of future apprenticeship requirements.
