Description of course:
A broad based general Multiskills programme for those who are not committed to a single trade or require support to gain the required entry to the Level 1 Diploma in Construction. 8 units from all aspects of the Construction Industry and Building Services are required along with Basic Skills in Numeracy and Communication. Topics include: Plumbing Woodwork Brickwork Electrical Paint Protection

Method of assessment:
Assessed by practical demonstration of your skills and assignment records of the tasks undertaken with prior planning. This portfolio of evidence with photographic support is submitted for validation and is then available for you to show potential employers the variety of your skills.

Progression opportunities and careers:
Entry into employment with part time study on an appropriate Level 1 programme or study full time on a specialist programme.

Entry requirements:
Completed secondary school education to GCSE standard

All full time students will undertake a combination of additional qualifications that will enhance their study skills and those skills that will be important in employment.
