One of the following: 120 UCAS points A minimum of PPP on a relevant National Diploma or 2 A-levels grade D Mature students without suitable academic entry requirements will be considered in light of relevant occupational experience. For non-EU students an IELTS 6 is required. Normally we also require GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent.

Course Summary:
The full-time BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) at Nescot is a specialist 2-year vocational programme with a strong work related emphasis. The qualification will give you a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in the sector is nationally recognised by employers allowing you to progress directly into employment within the IT sector or on to a degree in IT.

Course Details:
Each academic year of the course is divided into two semesters. Students cover five modules in each semester in the first year and four modules each semester in the second year. Assessment will be via assignment work with all units contributing to the final award. Practical and group activities will be important features in all units.

Teaching & Learning Methods
Various teaching and learning methods will be used in the classroom to ensure your learning experience is positive and rewarding. Classroom activities may involve group work, peer assessment, role play, discussion, written work and assignment work.

External visits may be organised as appropriate to complement the programme of activities in the classroom.
