You could even be involved with national construction initiatives such as housing and schools regeneration projects and the forthcoming Olympic Games.
Case study
Kyle Derbyshire
ICA Intermediate Construction Award in Trowel Occupations
Kyle progressed onto the ICA Intermediate Construction Award in Trowel Occupations after completing the Foundation Award. After gaining the qualification he successfully found employment as a second brick layer for a company based in Chester. Kyle plans to continue his education whilst working and aims to enrol on the NVQ Level 3 in Trowel Occupations and sit his CSCS test, which will allow him to legally work on a construction site.
OEI've really enjoyed the course - the teachers have been great. Through doing this course at the College I've also got my Level 2 Maths and English and Level 1 I.T. which is good for anyone, like me, who didn't get them in school.
