What will I be learning?

The aim of this course is to expand your knowledge of the aviation industry. The knowledge acquired by you will give you a greater understanding of the role of Cabin Crew, the types of airlines and aircraft in operation and the terminology used throughout the industry. This will include an awareness of aviation geography and sound knowledge of the routes that airlines fly. You will also learn how to respond to planned and unplanned emergencies and develop the skills required to check and operate aircraft equipment safely. A key feature of this course is the opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge and understanding of the onboard role of air cabin crew which will include learning the importance of offering a professional in-flight service.

How will I learn?

Assessment is in the form of written examinations, assignments and practical assessment on our mock up aircraft cabin. You will also be required to complete practical First Aid assessments as well as swimming pool based survival techniques and fire training in a simulated smoke filled environment.

What else might I want to know?

Visits will be made to cabin crew related sites where possible and you will be required to purchase a cabin crew uniform which will be worn in designated classes and on visits. There will be a strict grooming code regarding the wearing of make up, jewellery and hair styling to ensure compliance with industry expectations and codes of practice.

What can I do afterwards?

On successful completion you will be well placed to gain employment in the airline industry.
