To qualify for this course you must have gained a Brickwork qualification at Level 2 and be able to demonstrate academic and practical ability, as well as a commitment to the course. Candidates will be required to complete a practical assessment by an assessor at South Leicestershire College.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
The Level 3 Diploma in Brickwork is designed to further develop your skills and knowledge, enabling you to work in an advanced level within the industry in your chosen craft. The course has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions, and the tests are based on the learner showing what they can do as an individual through the completion of all the requirements of the qualification.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?
You will study and achieve the following qualifications while on the course:-

Level 3 Diploma in Bricklaying
Key Skills AON Level 2
Key Skills Communications Level 2

The qualification comprises:

General core units
Occupation specific units
Practical assignment

The qualification is comprised of practical training culminating in 3 practical exams. The theory knowledge is made up of 6 modules, 3 of which are core units followed by 3 craft specific units, which include structural and decorative brickwork and erecting complex masonry structures.

WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
The course will run over 2 days per week, one of which will run into early evening. If your attendance falls below 85% you may not be able to complete your studies.
