For the level 2 Higher Diploma you will need the Foundation Diploma Hospitality or an equivalent level 1 course and English and Maths GCSE grades A*D. For the level 3 Advanced Diploma you will need the Higher Diploma Hospitality or an equivalent level 2 course and English and Maths GCSE grades A*C. Course Description
This is a new qualification made up of the Higher Diploma at level 2 and the Advanced Diploma at level 3. You will study the following:
The hospitality industry, introducing the UK hospitality industry and customer service
People in the hospitality industry, developing skills to work in the hospitality industry
Hospitality operations, preparing and serving food and beverages
Business and finance, including human resources, front of house, facilities and events management, loyalty incentive schemes and business plans.
As part of this qualification you will develop your study skills to:
Get to know the sector and the way it works
Find out whats involved in running a restaurant, caf or hotel
Learn about customer service and what it means
Learn about food and drink service
Learn about pricing and budgeting to take care of the books
Receive practical hands-on experience.
