What will I study?
In year 1 you will study: Level 2 Gym Instructor (REPS recognised); Level 2 Certificate in Sport & Fitness Therapies; Certificate in Swedish Massage; Diploma in Health, Safety, Security & Employment Standards and Customer Care. In year 2 you will study; Level 3 Diploma in Sport & Fitness Therapy Techniques; Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology. For the Welsh Baccalaureate you will explore a wide range of areas including how Wales ?fits in? with Europe and the rest of the world, the health of the nation and how to be enterprising.
How will I be assessed?
You will be continuously assessed through observation of your practical work, the compilation of a portfolio of evidence, independent assessment papers, assignments and case studies.
Career Opportunities & Progression
Excellent opportunities exist in the Leisure and Fitness professions; Sport and Fitness Consultant, Personal Trainer, Sports Massage Therapist, Management and Teaching opportunities, you could also progress to Higher Education.
