Qualifications required:
Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Sports and Leisure or 4 GCSEs (grades A-D) including Maths and English. Students must also have a keen interest in sport. A satisfactory reference may also be required.

The Sports Academy based at the Kingston Communications Stadium, Learning Zone.

Additional info:
Sports clothing required. Students on this course will also use external facilities for example tennis courts and swimming pools and visit a range of leisure centres. Sports Academy learners will receive 6 hours professional coaching per week and compete in regional and national competitions on Wednesday afternoons. Academies include football, rugby, basketball, netball, boxing and various individual sports.

Progression:
Further study on the National Diploma in Sports. Employment in the sport and recreation industry or fitness and health facilities.
