Course Details

Beauty therapy skills eg: Electrolysis Electrical and Mechanical Body Treatments Aromatherapy Nail Technology Tanning Treatments Related Theories in Science Business and Marketing Possible additional subjects and qualifications Functional Skills in ICT, Application of Number and Communications.

Qualifications required:
Must have achieved BTEC National Award in Beauty Therapy Sciences. ESOL students must have achieved level 2 prior to application. Students should be self-motivated, hard working, enjoy working with people, have plenty of stamina and energy, be prepared to work long hours including evenings and Saturdays, be prepared to undertake own research and do written work in own time, work to tight deadlines, be punctual and have excellent attendance.

1 year (full-time and 14hrs part-time)

Progression to university/higher education. Employment in the beauty industry (eg in salons, on cruise ships, in hotels and health spas), self-employment or further training in related areas (this qualification is equivalent to 3 A Levels).
