The BTEC First Diploma in Engineering (Maintenance) is a full time course which is designed to give a broad base from which you can progress to a number of possible advanced courses in the field of Engineering. It is a good general introduction to engineering and provides the basic skills required for progression to a wide range of trades and professions.

Entry to the National Diploma, work or a recognised apprenticeship is possible following successful completion and achievement of appropriate grades.

8 units will be studied, to include: Working Practices in Engineering Using and Interpreting Information Applied Electrical/Mechanical Science for Technicians Mathematics for Engineering Technicians Using Computer Aided Drawing Techniques Mechanical Maintenance Fundamentals Electrical Maintenance Fundamentals Electronic Circuit Construction and Testing
