The emphasis on spoken English encourages active oral participation in group and whole class work.

Fifty percent of the course is based on literary texts, so students extend their acquaintance with poetry, drama and prose texts. The literature components of the course leave open the option of Literary Studies at university as well as the option of courses in Linguistics.
