English For Speakers Of Other Languages (ESOL) (Full Time)

Aims:
This course is designed for students who wish to study English on a full-time basis. The course enables students to gain qualifications recognised both in the UK and internationally. It prepares students for further study or employment.

Duration:
One Year, August to June / January to December
For Home Office requirements a full-time overseas student must study for at least 16 hours a week but you may study up to 22 hours a week if you wish.
Full-time students from the EU will have their course fee paid but must study for 21 hours a week.

Content:
We have six levels of classes:
- Beginner
- Elemementary
- Pre-Intermediate
- Intermediate
- Upper Intermediate
- Advanced
You will study General English (Grammar, Everyday Communication, Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills)plus one class dedicated to writing and another dedicated to citizenship / living in the UK.
You will study for an SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) ESOL certificate at an appropriate level.
If your English is at a suitable level you can also study IELTS, FCE, CAE or Proficiency. You may also study English with other college subjects.
There is a full guidance and support programme for our students.

Careers:
The course will develop your English language skills to a level where you can work or progress to further study in the UK. Students are given full support with applications for colleges and universities across the UK.
