ICT First Diploma for IT Practitioners (Intermediate)

Course Description
This Level 2 course is suitable if you have already completed a Level 1 course in ICT and Computing, such as the BTEC Introductory Certificate/Diploma for ITWork, or for if you have equivalent ICT skills and knowledge. It covers a wide range of IT skills using industry-standard software and is excellent preparation for the level 3 National Diploma for IT Practitioners.

Entry Requirements
The BTEC Introductory Certificate/Diploma for ITWork (or its equivalent), or a minimum of three GCSE Grades D or above including English. Places are subject to interview.

Assessment Methods
Assessment for all units is based on meeting specified targets that are set and verified by Edexcel, and marked by College lecturers. Assessments are graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction.

Progression
Learners can progress into computer related employment and/or continue their study to the BTEC National Diploma (L3) or a number IT Level 3 courses at a FE College.
